To me, a beautiful person is kind and sincere. A person who believes in thinking before talking, who believes in treating others and they want to be treated. To me, true beauty is not about HOW a person looks; but how they carry themselves. To me, a beautiful person has morals, and think of others and care about other people. A person who believes in trying to rise above rough times. A man who believes in looking at a woman as his equal partner instead of treating her as if she is inferior to him. A woman who would not dream of raising a hand against a man except true self-defense. A person who prefers to be an original ( in a good way) instead of concerning themselves with being in with the in-crowd all the time. A humble person and would never put themselves on the pedestal nor have anyone put them on a pedestal. A person who treat people they CANNOT stand in the worse possible way with respect. I'll write some of the people I find beautiful in the discussions

I agree with you: I've known lots of people who didn't fit the conventional definition of beauty - maybe because they were fat or old or whatever - but were (or are) still just absolutely radiant. I've also known people who were very pleasing to the eye...until they opened their mouths and let everyone know just how ugly they really are.

Some famous people who are beautiful: India Arie, who even sings about unconventional beauty and the fact that we should be judged by what's on the inside rather than on the outside. (Honestly, I think she's very pretty regardless, but if there are girls - and boys, and adults too - who hate their bodies but listen to her music and learn to love themselves for what's on the inside...well, that turns a pretty woman into a stunning one.)

Her son was killed in a nationally-covered hate crime about 10 years ago, and she's spent most of the last ten years speaking out and campaigning for hate crime legislation and protection for those who face discrimination. She's definitely not a person you'd remark about if you saw her walking down the street, but her actions show what a lovely person she really is.Erma Bombeck. She died in 1996, but I don't think I could name a more beautiful woman. She took the frustrations of a nation's worth of mothers and housewives and publicly acknowledged what an awesome responsibility those jobs were. And she did it by making fun of herself. Her newspaper column and books gave an entire nation a glimpse of a thankless job and gave her readers a reason to laugh out loud. She may not be conventionally pretty, but she had the biggest most amazing smile I've ever seen...and she knew how to use it!These next may not be famous, but there are even some Askvillers I just know are beautiful - even though I've never met them in person. This is far from an exhaustive list, and there are so many to choose from, but off the top of my head.
